It was a glorious
day, and with London spread out before us we lit a fire, put on
some sounds, and then (nice) Nigel from Eastenders turned up with
his kids for a stroll.
The unexpected
has a tendancy to happen. There was scaffolding on the beach this
time which we happily used a climbing frame, bench, tent pole and
that an enterprising unicyclist managed to navigate through. He
turned into a juggler and then into a teacher of juggling, entertaining
us on the beach and the crowd of onlookers on the embankment.

The two leary
nine year olds showed theair ages breifly in between bouts of swearing
and tumbling about on the sand in their 'is he a teacher ?' questions.
Their cheek was hilarious. They were definately
the youngest two
of the new faces that turned up
We drank, ate,
built sandcastles, watched a boat pull up, watched the sun go down,
watched the Thames come in and fill the beach with salty water as
we tottered off with sand in our shoes, grins on our faces and a
new set of beach memories.
